Totally mysterious object. It looks like it was part of something else. I have wondered if it might be a knife or sword handle. I found it in Tyre, South Lebanon in the old souk where this old guy sells stuff that kids bring in from the beach or elsewhere. It is solid brass and has Arabic writing that is difficult to decipher because it is worn down quite a bit. It is hollow and diamond shaped. Measures about 5-6 inches tall.
