I found this at a garage sale when I was in high school. I thought it was pretty cool, so I snatched it up. I always planned to get it fixed up someday and use it in my house, but I have never got around to it. Obviously it is missing the coin box and few other items. I would love more information about it if any body would like to comment.

Hi Jhix... this is a nice Western Electric three slot phone, circa 1960s. Here's some minimal info:
      http://www.telephonearchive.com/phones/pay/we-233g.html
The kind the fonz was always using in happy days. You should be able to get the coin box easily, but keys are tough to get.
Hope you won't repaint it... its got that forgotten drugstore patina!

Thanks for the information potrero. I had done some research a while back but my biggest issue is finding a controller box for the unit or a good schematic for a controller box. I have the ability to make the box, but would just need the correct information. Luckily the unit is not locked up so I get inside. It looks great inside, but if I connect it to a telephone all I can do is barely hear the dial tone. That is when I did more research and found out about the controller box unit. I assume that you need this to even make it work. Lastly, I agree, I like the current patina and would not paint it. Thanks again for info and weblinks.
