Antique French Art Deco French car? clock ca. 20's-30's.

Hello all!
I got this clock yesterday and got it running this morning. I know it was made in France during the Art Deco period, but that is it. I'm not sure what it came out of, but it has a nut on the top of the metal frame. A real puzzle, this one... Thanks for any help and enjoy!
