I found this necklace in a lot of jewelry I once bought.
My husband fell in love at first sight when he spotted it. I needed some more time.
But I wear it occasionally in the summer and I must admit it does look fine when worn. So I'm never going to part with it. Its just such a statement piece.
The blue beads are glass and the links are brass or some sort of copper. All beads are present. Its really heavy when you wear it. So when do you think it was made? I think it may date from the sixties or seventies.
I love love love it!
Thanks AmberRose and mustangtony for loving it
Thanks Agram.m and valentino97 for loving it.
Hello valentino, always nice to meet you here. Yes I read that story of Josef of Hollywood, so inspiring.
Well my man really loves things that stand out. This one surely does.
The link would suggest 1940's-50's, also this style is referred to as a "bib" necklace. Very nice!
Thanks Bellin68, brigitte and Stillwater for loving.
Stillwater, thanks for your comment. And you are right, its a 'bib' necklace. I really didn't know that word till now. They seem to be very popular nowadays. :-)
I love it and it reminds me of Haskell.
It is an early Haskell actually, one of the Frank Hess pieces. It dates from the 30's-40's. Good eye Fluffy
Thanks Stillwater... I love Haskell. Sadly I can't find any good ones for myself.
Thanks Stillwater and DrFluffy for your comments, that would be great news :-)
I guess this mystery is solved.
