Letterpress text commentary includes: “Orizaba, the Citlaltepetl, or ‘Star Mountain’ of the Mexicans, situated to the South-West of Vera Cruz, is elevated 17,371 feel above the level of the sea.” A pastoral scene with cattle grazing, two men view the distant peak, as a rider plods down a path. Hello I got this from internet as there is a whole book by John Phillips, published 1848 in Spanish and English, 23 prints total being auctioned by Dorothy Sloan-Books Est at Got this and another Eng. print I will post in next day or so. This one has nice color, I just found frames for both at thrift stores. I spent much time in M($25,000-35,000)
