A bought a large box of junk for $10.00 last week. It took me a few hours to go though it all. Mostly nothing but paperclips and thread in there, but I did find a few goodies. This is one of them. Whatever this is, it is very small (1 1/4 inches on all sides). It is def. not gold, I dug down a little bit in order to test it. Since my silver testing skills are getting a little better, I think this is very pure silver. Where the acid touched the gold paint it turned black, but the acid that touched the silver turned deep deep red, and stayed that color.

I am just curious to know if anyone knows what this may be. Thanks!!

It is 38 grams in weight, the metal is very very soft.
