Hello: This is a very heavy cameo glass vase. It is 11" tall. It is not signed, but my guess is Daum or Legras. Polished pontil. Any inputs? Regards.

Hmm I don't think its a Daum, but its a very nice piece

As far as I know Daum signed everything, so this is most likely not Daum. The style is very Legras, and some of them were signed with a very small "Leg." signature? Very nice vase!

didn't daum sometimes sign on the base with gilding. it seems like that could easily wash off?

Isn't that also true of Legras? I think they used a silver stamp that would sometimes wear off. It looks more like Legras in the execution to me. Lovely vase!

Not arguing either way for attribution. These pics just aren't detailed enough for me to even begin to make judgement on execution.

Legras seems more likely than Daum just because Legras is more common to find. (for Legras was not always signed. but they definitely had methods of signing that could wash off. I will say that the way the glass appears to be finished on the bottom doesn't seem very legras like.

My comment was just meant to be a counter point to the Daum Always signed angle.

I do suspect this piece is cut down.. but again too fuzzy to tell for sure.

Scuse the bad punctuation, it looks like I got distracted from a thought in the middle there. the "(for" is there by accident :)
