    This is the propeller tip from an early military aircraft. The tip was reinforced with metal to prevent damage. The propeller was still hit with an object that rendered it not flight worthy.

    At that point, it was cut down and turned into a hanger (coat or hat). A hanging loop was added at the top and a hook was added as well.

    I researched this a while ago and don't recall if I was able to nail down a specific aircraft for this propeller.
