I found these negatives in an early Kodak Asia envelope. The first one shows a man standing near what appears to be a large boulder. The second one shows a man about waist deep in a hole where the object came from. There are other negatives including one of a man pointing at or touching the object with a stick, even though he could easily reach out his arm and touch it. Any help with what the object may be is appreciated.
These were found in NH but in a Kodak Asia envelope.
I am not sure but the negatives seemed to have been in the envelope for a while and a can't see any state on the license plate of the car in one of the negatives.
Thanks, I never considered the meteorite idea but it is plausible. It almost seems as though the item was completely buried and found because there is one negative of a field that appears to have been plowed and then another one that appears to be an old horse drawn plow that was being used to remove the object.
I actually just took another look at the negatives and the plow is actually a wheelbarrow. Also, I don't think them area that looks like it was plowed was actually plowed. Rather, I think it was tracks from wheelbarrows. It also appears that in one negative they set up some sort of tent near their car.
I just "inverted" (made positive) your negatives in a photo editing program.
I will post them post haste. You can copy them if you want and let me know when to take them off CW.

Thanks, I am surprised by how much meteorites go for. I heard Mars is more expensive than gold gram per gram. Do you think it is a meteorite?
I am not a rock expert but I would guess no.
I had inverted these images when you first posted them, it doesn't look like a meteorite to me. It's to rough, the heat of reentry makes them smooth.
A meteorite that measured apx. 4' across landed in Egypt & left a crater 150' wide & 50' deep.
Thanks, what do you think it is? In other negatives there is a man holding small pieces of rock or something similar to rock. It appears that it was significant enough for them to set up a tent because there is a large tent setup near their car.
Those trees in the background look like gum trees.
Australia? Is it a termite hill? Did they destroy it?
Are the pieces there in the second photo?
Just alternative thoughts.
The surface looks different to a meteorite in Bootson's positive pix.
The envelope does have names of Kodak locations in Australia so it may be Australia. The pieces are not there in the second photo. However, I posted some other negatives that includes what appears to be a wheelbarrow filled with pieces, but the wheelbarrow appears to be about at least 10 feet below ground level. There is also some type of wood beam in a negative so I am not sure if this location was some kind of mine.
Termite hills are a mound above ground and the colony goes underground too.

You should consider building a light box to view & photograph the negatives.

Thanks, I don't think these are of termite holes though. I may see of scanning them makes the negatives easier to view.
