    LOUMANAL
    (436 items)

The Atterbury & Co. of Pittsburgh, PA was one of the most prolific manufacturer of Flint Glassware oil lamps in the United States. These two lamps from my collection are my favorite, not only because of their color and size but because they are very early lamps made by the Atterbury Company. The lamp on the left is Teal Green, measures only 7" to the top of the collar and is in their popular "Ribbed Loop" pattern. The interesting aspect of this lamp is the 3 part separate manufacture of the base with no mold lines, the stem made in a 3-piece mold and the font also made in a 3-piece mold. It dates circa 1860's and comes from the Gaspe area of Quebec, Canada. The lamp on the right is Cobalt Blue with a matching Atterbury Gem Base, measures 8 1/4" to the top of the collar and is in Atterbury's "Diamond Band and Fine Rib" pattern. The brass connector has the Atterbury patented Sep't 29, 1868 date impressed in it. It was one of my early Lamp purchases on eBay. RER (LOUMANAL)
