Here is a Kralik vase in the decor of cobalt glass with mica inclusions. The surface has a metallic oxide iridescent application in hues of purple, blue and gold. It stands about 7.5" tall and is approximately 4.5" at the widest. The floriform shape dates it to the art nouveau era, c.1900, and features a ground rim and no pontil mark. Though there are aspects of this vase that are reminiscent of Rindskopf, I have a similarly shaped vase in Kralik's version of Loetz's Pampas style; kralik-glass.com also attributes the cobalt/mica decor to Kralik.
Thanks czechman, BTW, that is a neat Oceanik you picked up!
Love the shape and colour....:-)
Thanks Inky & Sean... cobalt is always one of my fav. colors, andI really like these early Jugendstil shapes too :)
