Stein of the Imperial German Prussian 11th Field Artillery Regiment, named to Reservist Seim, who served from 1908-1910 at the garrison in Cassel. Kassel (spelled Cassel until 1928) is a town located on the Fulda River in northern Hesse, Germany. It is the administrative seat of the Kassel Regierungsbezirk and the Kreis of the same name. The stein is almost 12" tall with a deep false bottom, it has colorful depictions of Artillery Caissons being moved over the battlefield, and the epaulette of the regiment in the central motif. The pewter top imitates an actual cannon shell showing the fuse setting mechanisms, with a cannon as a finial (top). This is a solid-piece top unlike some that screw apart. No flaws, chips, or cracks, near mint condition.
