Here is a lovely articulated collar made in a very complex mold. Each piece is molded separately as the mold marks are different on each piece - little imperfections on the side. It has a row of marcasite stones with a row of rhinestones on top and two rows underneath and then a row of raised flower design in the setting and then a final row of rhinestones. Then along the bottom there are two little rings in each piece and from each ring hangs a little silver coloured bawble that looks like a hearts with a ring on top joined to each ring in each articulated piece. These little danglies are irregular in shape so not mass produced, and some have little "sticks" hanging from the bottom which was probably how they were set in the mold and then some were put on without being ground off. This makes me think maybe this was made in India or someplace like that. The best thing about it is the BLING. This thing shines like it is made of diamonds. However, the stones are older and scratched somewhat, and I have yet to look at them under the microscope but I think the rhinestones might be paste which means it is probably old. More info to come on that. Does anyone know anything about this type of piece. It does look Victorian.....any help would be appreciated. It is not silver.

I'd say around 1940's, it was perhaps made to imitate the Victorian style. Those type of rhinestones are later

Thank you for the input Stillwater. I was thinking the little back chain was looking too new to be Victorian - but I was not sure about the rest of it.
