Not sure about the material, but could be buffalo horn carved into a Guanyin statue. About 14 cm tall.

To me it looks like Rhino horn, what does the bottom look like. I like the shape, shape is perfect for rhino!
The bottom is hollow all the way until the tip
I still think it is rhino horn! look at my Japanese boxes, They were donated by same person that donated jade egg.
