Anyone have an idea who the manufacture is with this symbol? Certainly a well made rod. Very stiff 57in long. Looks like made for the ocean. Only thing looks like it could be a mark is IFH on the rod. But I really think I am just reading something into that. It is probably just the four bands around the rod with some varnish flaked off to look like letters. Really appreciate the help. Maybe a place that list rod manufactures. Regards, ER@A-A.com

I had a rod just like this. It is in an old canvas bag and has a paper label on the handle of the rod that say Montague 8D8 Dreadnought 1 pc 4 ft. Med. tip & butt
Can't tell you much else, but would love to know its value. I know it belonged to my husbands grandfather. Can be reached at CyberSily@aol.com just put rishing rod in tag line so I would delete

Based on the thread check and the location of the missing signature wraps, I have to say with certainty that it is one of Montague's Pier or Boat rods. The white in the pportion of decal that remains is the Fish that is in their decals. I have many of these type of Rods and am positive of the Maker identification.
