A recent addition. I have to admit that when I first received this, I was quite disappointed with it. It just doesn't really have the same quality as the other fish, there were no engraved lines, no eyes, the cut mouth is rough, the tail looks odd, it just looked awful.
however, having done a little research, it would seem that it's very likely to be an early piece, circa 1959. There are a few articles from that year with a couple of pictures with similar styled fish, even one with a similar shaped short tail...
Do I like it now? it's growing on me....lol
Sometimes you got to sit with it for a while. Its great!
I actually like the smooth simplicity of it...:-)

I think my initial shock and horror was just down to having one or two "bad fish" in the past, you know, ones that had been badly "restored" and you think "oh man! I spent £££ amount on THAT!?!" hehe
