Looking for a second opinion!!! Pretty colored glass vase :) 5" tall, 3" across at widest point, 2 1/4" opening. The feet are applied and it is cased. Czech spatter ware? Any ideas of the age? End of Day glass? Who made it? May want to sell it, but if it's a nice piece, I may hold onto it.

Awesome vase! This is a Ruckl "cottage glass" or "end of day" decor known as rainbow spatter honeycomb. Search eBay or cw for additional shapes in this exact decor. Hope this helps.

Oh my! Thank you so much, Charcoal! You don't know how much this helps. I thought it looked like Ruckl(at least I hoped it was). I think it's a keeper :)

Do you think this could be from the 1930's?

Hey ilovehomer, Glad to help! This decor or variations of it was manufactured by Ruckl for roughly 35 years. It's tough to tie down a specific year on your vase but it could be 1930's. In my opinion it is a keeper. Ruckl glass is well made and high quality for a mass produced product. It was made by skilled craftsmen, not workers from the local population.

There are other opinions as to the maker as well. Many of them can be found right here on cw if you know where to look. Cottage glass has been called generic, Stevens & Williams, Stourbridge glass, Fenton, Franz Welz, and the list goes on. Several of these attributions seem reputable at first and I have promoted a few of them through the years. I certainly understand the mixed opinions in other words.

This glassware was manufactured for the target British market in reality. My main question at this point is providence marks. England required them on imported wares and these pieces are not marked.

Again, thank you. Providence marks? Will look that up... I love to learn new things :)
