No idea what i have here. Seems like its old but i just dont know. A older lady gave this to me along with a couple other items. She just didnt have any room for these things anymore.

It is a lovely piece, no doubt about that. It is in the style of much older trunks of the late 18th century but it appears as if the metal is cut steel. If it were an earlier period piece the metal on it would be cast iron. If this is the case then it most likely was made after 1900's -- and by the look of the precision cut steel perhaps 1940's or 50's. The older ones usually do not have those type of legs -- they most often sit flat on the ground. Bear in mind that I am not in any way an expert at this so feel free to challenge or delete this post. I look forward to other comments to verify or disprove my thoughts.
