I really like the look of this Cottage and the Fence next to it which I'm guessing there is a River behind it. I can't tell who the artist is,as Usual. Kathleen caddick, maybe ??

Why isn't there a category on here for Paintings and drawings? Or am I not seeing the list Properly?

Although born in Liverpool, Kathleen Caddick spent her childhood in Buckinghamshire where the beech woods and far reaching views across the Chiltern Hills must have subconsciously implanted her love of trees. She trained at High Wycombe College of Art and graduated with honours in painting. She worked as a freelance designer and art teacher while her son was growing up and then ran a graphics design studio, during which time she was also an examiner for the City and Guilds London. She started painting full time in 1968, exhibiting mainly in London, and produced her first etchings in 1976 - her natural style of concise line and delicate hand colouring particularly lending itself to her chosen medium. The quality of her prints has rightly won her an international following and her work has been widely exhibited and collected in this country as well as in Germany, USA, Canada, the Far East and Australia. She has worked on commissions for the National Trust and the Woodland Trust. Kathleen's vision of landscape is the subject matter of her work expressing feelings of space, peace and tranquility through her use of muted colours.

Dave is a great name. You can have a beer with a guy named Dave. I was in a meeting with about 12 people today, five named John.

So Dave what has been your favorite find? Do you go to thrift shop/flea markets/garage (boot) sales? Do you sell stuff?
I do so as not to be a hoarder. I do vintage flea markets.

that's is a really good but hard question
One of my Favourite items I found at the dump is my cat Ralph lol
He gives me gifts all the time like birds fishes mice, today he gave me a frog without a Scratch on him. He's the cat that just keeps on giving lol

Gold is always a good find, I would say I've had over 500 grams. And Diamonds. But I sold most of that as its was Ridiculously high in price .

I have got a First edition Charles Dickens " the cricket on the hearth" but it was raining on the day I found it at the dump and the cover has water Damaged now :(

My war stuff is really Interesting. Like the letters. I've posted some of it on here but got some more that I haven't, like a Captains of a war ship Letters photo albums ships journal all sorts of his personal belongings. I'm looking forward to digging them out and doing some Research on him.

To be Honest I don't really know what I've got, if it's old and Catches my eye I just box it and Store it away. The plan was to fall back on them when I don't work there any more. I didn't Realise I would be working there for this long. I'm going to need to build a bigger shed lol.

But let's say there was a fire
"my biggest nitemare" and I could only grab a couple of items it would be my pirate Painting of two ships and my skull token. Now I've posted it on here I'm thinking its not what I thought it was"a pirate token" but I still love it. I'm Fascinated with pirates.
I will take it to the British Museum and see what they thing of it soon.

I do sell stuff at carboots but they are just junk really, like Everyday items. I keep the Unusual n Unique.
I want to start selling some antiques at a antiques fair but I don't know what to sell them for so I just keep them for now.

I haven't thought what I would grab. Now it's bugging me. I keep changing my mind. I'll have to think on it.
I was the same way until I had dangerously high piles built up. I just started reselling this fall, although I used to have a booth at an antique mall ages ago.
This time I just went with my gut and dove in. But you are right, you have some unusual things that aren't easy to value.
I am excited to get back to off loading some goods this spring. Once I made the hard choice to sell I kind of liked it. Did I pick the right things, what's hot right now, what's hot next etc. I look for myself and the flea now. Super fun.
