Double sided 48" round porcelain gas sign. Have not had much luck finding out any information on this sign. I do know the co.started in Pasadena,tx around 1917 and was sold to a co. in Baltimore,MD in the 1920s.any help would be appreciated.thanks
That was from june2012.the only one i've seen with same logo.wrote to seller, but could not get any info.thanks
I found this about 70 miles from Pasadena,tx.my guess is 1920s or 30s.its different from 1940s and 50s logo I've seen.
OK.thanks
Crown began marketing in Houston in 1930, in the east in 1943 where they remain today. This sign was used in the Houston market in the late 1930s (there is an earlier version) and is known to have been in use as late as 1947, where I have seen a photo from a station here in NC

John:
I have collected Crown Central items for nearly 50 years and have been searching for this piece since I first found out they existed nearly 25 years ago. Would you consider selling it?
Thanks
