I NEED HELP IDENTIFYING THIS SET. I found this set of green glass at a local thrift shop . One green beaker shaped decanter and four glasses all which have been hand blown with grinded and polished pontils (no signature on the bottoms). Each piece has its own characteristics like slightly different heights and small bubbles here and there ( which tells me they are each hand blown). The cups and decanter all have brass handles( with no stamped maker marks) that are not physically connected to the glass it just cuffs/ hugs around the glass. The decanter is about 12 1/2 inches tall and the cups are about 5 1/2 inches tall. I know a lot of glass around the time of the depression was made in a green color. I was also told glass with little bubbles in it was called sugar glass and was made around the twenties . To me this set has a Deco look about it which tells me 30s 40s . I think this set was made by a designer and could be one of a kind(but then again I probably am just dreaming). I would appreciate any help I can get identifying this set THANK YOU for your time ,I hope to hear from someone soon.

Thank you for your compliment . I have not done any research on bauhaus glass sets But that is a great recommendation and I can see your point.

A really cool set. Whoever designed this, ate the design book for breakfast before sitting at their drafting table. I haven't seen anything like it, so I am pretty certain it is not English.
Looking at the brass fittings, they are quality made items not mass produced.
They kind of look 50s/60s Italian to me, but.... they are so designery they could be from anywhere. My other choices would be, USA, Scandinavia. If they are from a thrift shop that couldn't smell quality I expect you got a good buy.

Thanks for comments on my glass set . I got a good laugh out of the ate the design book for breakfast comment (great wordage) . I have not googled or researched Scandinavian glass yet , that sounds like a good street for me to search . I am no further today in figuring out who the maker is then I was three days ago. When I looked into Bauhaus glass I did find a German artist that was making beaker shaped cups , but nothing like my set. I plan on taking my set to a local auction house on there free evaluation day and seeing if they can tell me anything to help solve my mystery . I bought this set at the goodwill in Orange County California which Is a very large corporate 2nd hand/junk store here in California . I really lucked out I walked up on a cart of newly donated items right as they pulled it out on the floor and there was my set complete with no chips breaks or dings. To this day this has got to be one of the nicer items I have bought at that place . I payed the whopping amount of 17.00 dollars for the set. Thanks for your time and knowledge you are much appreciated . I will keep you posted on the progress
