Hi! Bought this pretty piece thinking it was a salt; my fault for not looking closer, it appears to be a lid to a box, bowl, dish? I love this, would love to know what the base looks like so I can be on watch for it; or maybe find a complete one? Any ideas Greatly appreciated! Still tickled with this, LOL!!

Thanks! It is 3 1/2 inches tall and the length of the lid is approx 3 1/4 inches by 2 3/4 inches wide

I would guess it's the lid to a dresser trinket box, with the bowl above intended to hold rings, but that's *just* a guess. No idea about maker - if you're in the US, I'd start with some of the Elegant Glass makers that did a yellow color, like Cambridge, Heisey, etc. Is there a rim on the bowl portion as well? (Can't tell from the pic, I'm just wondering if the bowl part would have had a lid too.)

Thanks subversivegrrl :) I will have to try to check that out; see if there are any catalogs I can look at? Not sure about the top; it has a ridge around the top, but it is so tiny not sure it would hold a lid....love the color!

Thanks for the loves bratjdd, vetraio50 and mustangtony; pretty funny I didn't even know it was a lid, oh well :) Still love it - and now I want a complete one :)
