Sock monkey's are made by people out of Original Rockford Red Heel socks since around 1900. You at least have some idea when it was made, but there are no companies that make Sock Monkey's, only the socks

Two known companies that actually make the Sock Monkey dolls are "Maxx" from LA California & also "Schylling" . I have purchased already made Sock Monkey's from both.

Really? Well that is a new one on me. Although I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

I have a whole brood of the guys, small, medium, large, holiday costume & they are all manufactured. I never bought a sock to make any of them.

That is all I have. My relatives loved making these, and the accordion clowns.

I have a rag sock doll with button eyes and branch sticks for arms and legs, I know this doll is about 100 years old, it looks like it was all hand made but I am not sure. It has wire for hair and the clothes are all hand sown. I think it may have some value but I am not sure. Any suggestions. thank you
