It's an old horse and buggy and looks really cool, but don't know much about it. Found it in my grandparent's place, who my grandmother grew up in the Depression and saved everything. How do I determine the age or additional information on stuff like this? It is all wood and is approximately 13" long and 6.5" high. The straps are leather and there some metal loops for the reigns. No screws or anything else.
I also have another horse with a different kind of buggy that will show picture as well.
I would like to keep them, but if they are valued at a lot, then I would have to sell for my grandparents. But here, I just need any help you experts can help me with. Not sure if folk art or what. Guessing it's from the 1940's or 1950's.
Thank you so much!
Could you post 2 more views of the buggy, hard to see details of construction.
Walksoftly, what close-ups would be most beneficial for you to see the details of the construction? Thank you for your time, I appreciate it.
Some pics of the wheels & undercarriage.
The ruler hides some of the detail in your current pics & the quality is low so it is hard to make out any detail.
