Hello friends! I have posted my Lundberg JIP vase by request, and I do have a short story to tell if you have a moment.

Back in the '90's when I started to collect Art Glass, top-line antiques from the likes of Tiffany, Loetz and Quezal were already quite expensive, and the modern counterparts from companies such as Lundberg Studios, Orient & Flume and others were relatively inexpensive. Items such as this beautiful Jack-In-Pulpit vase could often be found for less than $200. That number has doubled by now, and these are no longer the bargains they used to be. Lundberg Studios (CA) is probably my favorite modern maker of glass, and their quality is and was often on par with the top-line antiques. So much so that I have seen numerous instances of Lundberg or the like passed off as Tiffany, with faked signature and all. I have since sold much of my Lundberg collection (wish I hadn't) and this one remains becuase it was and is my favorite. Modeled after a Quezal or Tiffany design this one stands by itself as a work of modern art. Enjoy!

I agree that Lundberg and Lotton are the best of the "new" makers. Check out the early Lundberg I posted awhile ago.

That's a beauty, Frank (your early James Lundberg). I was trying to remember the other brother's name - there is James and Steven Lundberg, and Steven went on to have his own studio, and also did some great work. James stayed with the original company which became Lundberg Studios, and I believe his son(s) took it over? Anyone know his or their names? Are they still in business?
