This is what I get up for early on a Sunday morning - a wonderful find at the local car boot sale!! Just a couple of pounds (along with another 1930's vase) Just love the decor and shape on this one! I keep smiling at it - sad eh? But it does fill me with joy especially at such a bargain price! Hope you like it and my guess is somewhere near right!
Gorgeous piece !!
I like it-- the colors are similar to a ewer I have posted on CW:

What do you think?
scott
Yes scottvez , I do believe that they are the same decor - very nice ewer - same shape as my honeycomb ewer! Do we suppose that they all are made by the same glass maker but different shapes and different decors (both ewers and vase)? Thank you for the Love!! : )
It is!! lovely and I would smile when I look at it too... well done!...:-)
Thank you Hedgewalker, blunderbuss, czechman, inky, Greatsnowyowl, dalsullywon, Maryh1956, and charcoal for the love and great comments!! :)
Jayhow! So it is a fairy light? I just thought it a vase! It does not have a chimney like my other Bohemian fairy lamp - so are the lights and the lamps different in form? Sorry if it is a daft question!! : )
Thanks JayHow. I say it's related to this shape but with the other end cut. http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/82206-victorian-bohemian-ruckl-art-glass-ewer?in=user
Thank you so much for your comment Alfedo, can I see some of your examples?
This link shows the shape attributed to Ruckl:

This link shows the decor coloring attributed to Ruckl.

Great glass on that second link, but I would question some of the attributions.
Here is an example of an English attribution that I would think is surely Bohemian:

I agree and thought it was best to provide both links.
And another that I would think is more likely Harrach:

I am not saying that this piece or mine is not Ruckl. I just don't find it useful to document attributions with a site that has questionable attributions.
scott
Two websites were provided. Considering how quickly attributions can change, which website doesn't have questionable attributions. I find it is common in this line of study. It is useful to connect other shapes and decors to find relatives.
JayHow, I agree 100%. I like Madforglass and find it a very useful tool regardless of attributions. It is a privately owned collection of 875+ examples and not just a bunch of "borrowed" pictures.
Welz seems a likely possibility as well.
scott
I was getting the feeling you thought it was British.
Welz? Not according to the links I provided above from reputable sources. Please post a reference website for the Welz possibility you speak of.
A few years ago, I would have thought that it was British (before much exposure to Bohemian glass).
I looked through some sites and found similar glass with Welz attributions. I didn't bookmark any, but will go back later today.
Also, while I do not know the folks behind the sites linked, it doesn't do much to support attributions when one source site has easily identified attribution issues.
