The two images on the left are of a bath salts bottle made in the 1960's in Yugoslavia! This bottle originally came with a small oval easily removed paper label on its base that read "MADE IN YUGOSLAVIA."
Unfortunately, we now have unscrupulous dealers trying to pass these bath salts bottles off as Ruba Rombic decanters! They are knockoffs, with prominent mold lines on the side and a hollow stopper (all Ruba Rombic stoppers are solid glass).
The two images on the right are Ruba Rombic whiskey decanters, one in Smoky Topaz and one in Jade. The original decanter would be valued in the $1,500- to $3,000- range depending on color, while the bath salts bottle is worth a maximum of $100.00 only as a curiosity piece. The bath salts bottle is way too big to be a Ruba Rombic decanter. The bottle, without the stopper is 10" tall and with the stopper is 15" tall.
So the next time someone offers one of these 1960's bath salts bottles from Yugoslavia, remember caveat emptor (buyer beware)!
