Can anyone tell me what pattern this is? Opening is 7 & 1/2" wide and 6 & 1/2" tall. It has a beautiful ring when tapped with a fingernail. Made in 20's, 30's, or 40's? Also is this known as a compote?
Just discovered this forum and I'm so looking forward to being here. can't wait to read all the past posts. Thank you for taking time to help.

I have continued to research this glass item since I posted here. I believe this is a "american strawberry diamond" pattern and c 1870's - 1880's. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks!

      Hi Americanartgirl.
Sorry i can't help ID this. But i think its lovely. I love the way its cut (or is it moulded?) which reflects the light. I have one posted cut similarly, but i prefer yours, its fancier:)

Thanks Vintagfran. I had one response says it's diamond point. Maybe it is? If you look close at the last picture - in the center of each diamond the glass is cut to a point and on the tip of this point is an "X" . It is cut, heavy crystal and reflects light beautifully! Thanks for responding.
