Hampshire leaded slag glass it was giving to me by my grandma don't now when she brought it but I would say this she had this lamp for a long time and she is 90 years old.

Yes the letter w or m with a circle how ever way you want to look at it ....also it's says hampshire it's heavy and in great condition
Also the plug says academy automatic and it's made of brass

Well I was thinking maybe it is Tiffany not sure now the letters on the base maybe the makers name not the company. Try checking it out then see if you can find any makers names with those initals. Good luck.

it would be much easier to see and appreciate if the images were correctly oriented. The base of the lamp is melon shaped Hampshire Pottery and probably originally oil. Here is a link to one with a different shade:
