Found this at an auction, it shows much age to it and appears to be Ivory? I wonder what the woman figure is, Japanese? or Chinese?
What era would this approx be from?
I find it extremely intricate and unique.
Can ANYONE help me figure out my mystery piece?

Jim, I appreciate your knowledge and time to respond! All info was very helpful.
If not geisha I do wonder what she would be referred as?

      Thanks again! :)
