I got this at the Syracuse show this weekend. Sterling and (I assume)Marcasite, it reminds me of a similar pin I have posted. It doesn't seem to be missing any of the smaller stones. The detail is very fine. I'm not sure whether it's supposed to be a pin, clip or pendant, that part is missing. I also wonder whether I should try to clean it up any. I would welcome any discussion on this point. Would cleaning it damage the stones?
Could this have been a fur clip or part of a duet??? How big is it?
It's 1 5/8" high x 1 1/4" wide. It very well could have been a fur clip. By duet, do you mean a piece with more than one mounting option? Thanks for looking freiheit!
Yes, there used be pieces that had two parts that could be worn individually or put into a frame, worn as a larger piece. In my experience, they are hard to come by nowadays because the frame is broken or missing, or one of the pieces is gone. I have one that is similar in stile, but it is not silver and has rhinestones instead.:)
It looks like a dress clip or a fur clip that's missing its fastener. The green insert can be glass or chrysoprase, can't tell from the photos. I would advise against polishing or scrubbing if you plan to attract a collector but careful washing in soapy water should be fine.

Thanks miKKo, Agram.m, davy and freheit! And you're right Agram, it does look loke yours!
I agree with davyd286, that this was a fur clip and part of a set or pair. Very nice Deco piece !!! Good find!
Thanks moonstonlover21!
