These wonderful shakers are some of those items from my childhood I now treasure. It was one of those typical gifts from pharmaceutical laboratories to practitioners at the time, and my father being one got a lot of these great stuff. Unfortunately most of that with "good design" was thrown away in time. I remember they were kept on the kitchen window sill when I was a kid and with these great shapes and colours it isn't strange I was always handling them!!! The good thing is that they were our everyday shakers!
I cannot tell why my mother stoped using them (it probably hapened when two neighbours gave her an orange set of olive and vinegar bottles with matching salt and pepper shakers, an imitation of a very popular design of the 70s produced by the Spanish brand Valira), and years later I "discovered" them at the bottom of one of the kitchen cabinets and claimed them for myself (when i moved into my first apartment).
Clever, clever, clever!
Your Mum had such an eye!
Dad too?
haha, thanks Bellin, Vet and mustangtony for the loves and comments!!!
Well, after all this was a gift, but I think they had a good taste when they were young... but kept on losing it as they grew older :) (this is so mean of me to say, haha) But they did had some amazing pieces of furniture when they got married (cheap but stylish).
So much fun!
