Alien Squirrel - cartoon figure?

I love this alien-looking cement squirrel! It might be a cartoon character or something - very stylized and funny looking. i have this method where i paint statues w/ water colors and then i leave them out in the rain. just enough paint sticks over time to give them a hint of old color. i think i may do that to this one too. what do you think?
