I made this garden sculpture a few years ago w/ a large mercury glass globe i found and some kind of stand i found at the dump along w/ a very heavy, old plumb bob. it stands around 7 ft tall in a native garden i designed for a home made from a rehabbed farmhouse in the Hayward Hills.

Your stand is an old kitchen pot stand! graduating from large at the post to small at the top, I have one and keep pot plants on it.....:-)

inky is good and i love reading searching the threads -- just a warning if this is or has mercury in it -- take care if it should break so as not to do harm to yourself or the environment
