Got this as a surprise gift with a 6ft gulf sign I bought a couple weeks ago. He simply said you like this I said yes how much, and he said take it you can have it totally caught me off guard. Very nice gesture, found the invoice inside where the coins go where he paid over 70 dollars for it and they were sold in limited numbers. It's functional, takes nickels and dimes and has key for coin box.
I know it has seen a lot of beautiful cars, thanks for the love and comment DianeAndEds.

Wow that's a great buy then... Now if only you could carry it around and place it in any parking spot, so you can park with a paid meter all the time :-)

My Mom retired as a Meter Maid, (parking attendant now), working in the 60's, thru the 80's, and they presented her with a refurbished meter like yours when she retired. Her's is a "Duncan", which I now own. What make is yours? Very Cool!

Mom was what they use to call a "Meter Maid" during this period of time, for 25 years. Now that's all out the door now, and they are call "Traffic Enforcement Officers" now, in this new political correctness age. Anywho, when she retired, they presented her, with a Newley Refurbished Meter, on an oak lamp stand, with plaque. I have it in my junk room now, and it is a "Duncan" brand. What brand is yours Trey?
