Keith Murray Design Decanter

This is a Keith Murray designed decanter for Stevens and Williams, circa.1930s. It has a black painted stopper.

A totally art deco design. Unfortunately the horizontal black bands painted on the body of the decanter have worn off leaving the etched surface underneath. Seeing as many of his decanter designs were made in runs of 12 it is unlikely I will encounter another, and it only cost me £4.

I think the stopper is the original model for the obelisk in 2001 A Space Odyssey.
