I have collected trench art for over 20 years. I have tried to focus on the unusual.
Aircraft were a popular subject in WW2 era trench art. Most common is the P-38, of which I have numerous posted here on CW.
Here is something a little harder to find. The subject is a B-24 Liberator.
The bomber is constructed of bullets and the wings and tail are made out of shell brass.
Over 18,000 of these were made for WW2 and no other US military aircraft was produced in higher quantities.
Reproduction of these images in any form is prohibited.
