I love the look of this.
I found it at the dump yesterday and fell inlove with it.
Would anyone know what it was used for ??
I didn't bother cleaning it as I think it looks pretty cool like it is.
Hope you like it n thanks for looking :)

You are one lucky bugger, you find the coolest stuff!
      Love it as is!
Appears to be a control panel for a generator/charging system.
Two wires in from the dynamo/generator, 3 light circuits, 2 wires out to the batteries.
Could be from an early wind generator?

Do you have a warehouse for all this stuff?

Thanks for that walksoftly. The Information I'm getting from your guys is great news :)

Studying it more closely, I think walksoftly may have it or is looking in the right direction. Those 4 wires on the front between the thumb-screws are obviously early type fuses. Maybe some kind of shunt-wound generator.

What does it say on the tag above the two holes between the two switches & on the the white object backside of of the panel.
I think the holes are for a early bulb.
Some of these panels had a bulb on them.

      I think it's HAND LAMP.
Here is a link to an old bayonet style plug & right below that you will see a hand lamp.

      You're most welcome Pb!
I don't know about being good, but when I see something that intrigues me I can't stop till I figure it out, could be persistence or OCD. lol
I wasn't implying that you needed to add to this or change it, I only mention the hand lamp to explain what the receptacle was for.
Thanks for posting this one it's kept me entertained for hours. :-)
