This is another wonderful victorian vase that I acquired at an auction. The piece is quite large and has enameled flowers and has an interesting border design. The glass flows on the vase. It really lights up under a black light. The vase is circa 1898.

Thank you all for the loves.... believe it or not, although it looks very Bohemian, the piece is actually marked Webb '98...

Can we see a picture of the mark?

This is as good as I can get it...WE pretty clear....B is over 98 and then the other B is to the side you can barely see the left side of it

a lot of people have added webb signatures to glass over the years that it doesn't belong on. I am pretty sure this is an example of that.

There are several other acid etched marks on the bottom, a pattern number, and Rubina. The Webb is the same as the other marks on the bottom. It looks like the Webb mark that I have record of. But again, this looked clearly bohemian to me and was kinda shocked when I saw the marks...

I am still pretty sure the marks are added by a trickster later on.

That would pretty much explain why it looks distinctly Bohemian wouldn't you say..lol

yup :) It's a pretty old period piece just not by Webb
