    (1 item)

Hello does anyone know anything about this stove (age, is it complete, value) It says Hamilton Ohio #CHAK611TW and the Serial #311518 on a metal tag. Got this at an estate sale and was wondering if a safty valve is available for something this old to bring it up to code so my propane company could install this.
    Thanks
    Ed

Wow nice condition and great piece of nostalgia. These are becoming very sought after with decorators, I see want ads for these pretty often. I don't see any reason why you couldn't hook it up, personally I would let a plumber do the work.

I have a stove just like this one but mine is light yellow color. Mine has a label on the back with a date of 1934 which is all I could make out. At least you know this is from the 1930's. I too am curious as to value, I paid $100.00 for mine from a relative about 25 years ago.

I have a stove which is very similar, the exception is my stove is Beige w/ red knobs and handles (my knobs are different) I also have top lid which hide the burners when not in use. My stove can double as a serving counter. The lower half of the stove comes down a little further. I assume your stove is a gas burner also, there is a safety valve located in the rear. If you do not see it, maybe it's behind the panel...My stove is a mid 40's to 50's Universal Enterprise Cookstove, also it is cast iron, extremely heavy. I have not had it appraised, but I have been told it should appraise in working condition around $2000+. I hope this information was useful...Good Luck...Great Fine!
