Rindskopf Hellgrunes Opalglas Vase c1902

Hello friends! As Yogi Berra once said, "It's deja vu all over again". I just added this one to my collection, and it might look a little familiar to CW regulars. That's because I was very lucky to obtain this one from czechman (thanks so much Gary); lucky because he didn't have room in his gorgeous new cabinet for this very large (14-1/2" or 37 cm tall) and extremely beautiful Rindskopf masterpiece, and I could JUST squeeze it into mine (lucky and luckier :) so it will stay where it is at least for a little while. This decor called Hellgrunes Opalglas is amazingly complex and extremely attractive; very Loetz-like in execution and design. The colors are wonderful, and the iridescence top notch. This is an unusually large example; most are about 13" tall. In my opinion this is the best example I have ever seen - I owned a similar smaller one years ago and sold it; which I regretted, but all is well with the universe now. It's true that space is finite (in my cabinets anyway, I'm not proposing a new cosmic theory) and you can only have so many like this, but I gladly made room for it. If the universe IS expanding why not my cabinet space? Ponder that!
