Is it possible that a certain style/shape of glass can be associated with a particular era? (eg; Deco, Mid Century, Mod, etc.)
I purchased this for the "look" it had ... and found the shape interesting. Now ... I'd like to know more, and don't know where to begin this Maiden Voyage into the World of Glass.
Can anyone tell me if this piece is truly unique ... or in my eye's just truly unique to me? (lol)

Could you put up a pic of the base and one of the rim? Your vase is as it was meant to be. It's got a fumed reduction finish. I believe this is polish and from the 80's wrzesniak glassworks.

It's not unique but it is definitely unusual. :) This is based on a kind of glass that was made much earlier called Pandora glass from Knizek

You'd call it an agate glass. as a disclaimer.. without handling it and/or seeing the base I really wouldn't be sure of any attribution. It could be a different agate glass then mentioned above. I am not absolutely positive it's a fume reduction from photos. But that seems most likely. And I do not know enough about Pandora glass to absolutely rule out this being one of the originals. (but I do not think it is)
