A beautiful tin container made by the Metal Box Company, England . I have a few tins ,but this one is the most ornate container of them all. The angel, that seems to be a cupid figure and floral designs ,animals , birds and small creatures are splendidly painted, the best feature is the the lid is hinged and will never be lost as so many tins are often without their lid.

I have two of these boxes just alike . I do not know for sure just where we got them . One is not in very good shape but the other one looks about the same shape as yours . We keep them just because we like them and think they are so different than most tins .

They sure are different than most tins that I've come across , you are lucky to have two of them! Thanks DobbinDee70!

antiquesandcollectibles38 : I asked my husband if he remembered where we got our tins . He said one of our tins has been in his family for a very long time and the other one we found at a yard sale . We have antique bedroom furinture in our bedrooms and the tins sit on top of antique dressers in each room . We keep stuff in them to keep it out of sight . One tin holds hair clippers . The other one just stuff . We take good care of them . The one that is not in such good shape is the one that holds the hair clippers and it is lined so as to protect it . I just like to look at them .
