Here goes a very nice Illinois Hunter case from my collection it has a very ornate hc with the nicest detailed I have seen ever anyways I need some help with this one when I bought it it was said it was gold filed but from some the research I have done I come up with it being either 8,9 or 16k solid gold can anyone help me with this one ?s are what year? What grade? How many jewels? Is it solid gold n what karat? How old n rare is this hc? And any other info I can get on it would be greatly appreciated thank you Ivan it is,a,lever set ow I know that mint dial I will post some pics of dial later thanks again Ivan also the case has a 18 inside a tombstone under the serial number what looks like a eagle or some type bird on the dust cover under serial number it looks,like a fancy letter E is it gold or gf the case is made by the. You have a very nice size 8s. Model 2 , Illinois hunt case pocket watch c.1885.
It is housed in an 18k solid gold "Eagle" hunt case. The case is exquisite with its nautical motif.

Thank you very much for your help got all the info i needed now so that puts the watch case at a production year of around the same time the watch was produced didn't know there was only 1000 made back then wonder how many still exist n how rare it is thank you ivan
