I saw this custard bowl in the glass display, really out of the way…I asked to see it, she handed it to me – and I knew it was mine. It’s actually pretty small but the energy and beauty is amazing. This bowl will stay part of my personal collection…However, I have no idea when it was made, who made it, pattern, etc. My feeling is that it’s from the late 1800’s. The ‘painting’ is actually glass. Was surprised as I was wondering if a damp cloth would clean the edges. Nope, it is glass, lol. Good to know : ) Any ideas?

it's not glass, it's some kind of enamel decoration. it's just not cold painted. and I think some of it has to be missing. it looks like it was a flower decoration at one point. I think American pressed custard from the late 1800's early 1900's but I don't know patterns or makers of this kind of glass at all.
the pattern was originally called Geneva when introduced by Northwood around 1899.; AKA: Shell & Scroll. You have a reproduction made by McKee and is found in their 1902 catalog with this decoration motif on milk glass noted as Decorated #40. Unfortunately the catalog doesn't state the method of decoration, but I have seen it noted as enamel. It looks a bit thin for enamel to me, but nonetheless would have been fired on even if a colored stain. The catalog does show a 4 1/2 round 3-toed berry bowl, which appears to be what you have here. Beautiful example!!!

I own a spooner and a tumbler in this pattern. I love custard glass.
