My husband just found this, but we have no idea what it might be. There is a water pipe connection at the base, so we suspect it may be some type of drinking fountain, but that's our best guess. It has markings indicating that it is a Hudson Model #289-N8, 49 WB, non siphon. I tried researching this on the internet, but without success. Do you have any idea what this might be?
Been a while since I have seen one of those. It was used to water cattle in the barn or barnyard, ingenious little devise, the cattle would stick there nose in the trough and the lever would let water pour out.
Thanks for this information, Dave. Based on the model number I previously furnished, would you have any idea how old this item might be?
