Hello, There are 5 thrift stores by my home. I am lucky. Maybe 6-7 years ago I saw this and joked with her, "Are you in the drug business now!" haha She wanted $9.00 for the spoon. She was tired of it and I bought it for$5.00. It is well made. That is me in photo, I went to Bank box and took some photos and to get a horse shoe for a dear friend. Anybody have any ideas of what to use this for? I mean legally! haha thanks for looking! Don

I think its just a nice looking spoon.
Here in Europe some people hang their spoons on a rack on the wall.

I'd call it a snuff spoon; a bit more legal and possibly more appropriate considering the age of the spoon.

Thanks Newtimes and Tall Cakes, maybe it is a snuff spoon, but here in Calif. people think of coke or speed, maybe it is old! wow snuff spoon! hmmm. great!

Any marks on the spoon? You could always use it as a salt spoon...
