{-}-{-}-St. DRAKE 1860 PLANTATION BITTERS-{-}-{-}

This fine bitters bottles was dug in a late 1860's dump on the out side of the Savannah city limits of that time period. This dump was huge and a lot of really good bottles came out of it. I was lucky to be at the right place at the right time. The thing about digging this type of bottle is that they are easy to damage when you are digging. The shovel or probe will get stuck on the outside of the bottle and make a crack or hole in it. A smooth bottle like a soda or whiskey without any of this type of fancy design on it. Will have a better chance of not being damaged because. The shovel or probe will not jam into it. It will just slide right off the outside of the bottle.
