This Vase is 1.5" high, and 3" in diameter .The only thing I know about the artist is that she was active in California in the 1950's and 60's. I know, she has museum exhibits. These cell phone photos realy doesn't do the colors or the crystals justice. If anyone has any information about this artist, it would be greatly apreciated.

I have a small collection of Rose Dodds' pottery. She was my husband's aunt so we knew her quite well. She was born in 1909 in New York City but spent most of her adult life in Berkeley, CA. She died in 1996. I would like to get an appraisal on a piece of her work. It has a narrow neck at the top which flares out at the top. I think it's called a "weed vase." It has a variegated light brown background that lightens up in an arch shape over about 1/4 of the bottom section which is shaped like a wine jug. The base glaze is accented by a blue/turquoise crystalline glaze. Where can I get an appraisal?

Hi: I have a small vase of hers that I purchased at an art fair in SF. I've moved a lot over the years and continually downsized, but this little piece I have always kept. I remember meeting her. Let me know if you want me to send you a phot of it. It is gold with blue splashes of that technique she was so famous for. Sad to hear she died a long long time ago! She was definitely elderly when I met her

Hello, I have a small collection of Rose Dodds as well! I met her in the early 90’s at her home and was going to be her room-mate. She was so kind, gave me tour of her pottery and studio wheel. She even asked if I wanted it! I was in awe of all her work and decided to buy some of her work that I find. Rare finds, but well worth it! Not sure what her pottery is worth these days, but I like to look at them and think of Rose and her creativity on the wheel. I’m an Artist and inspired with Mid-Century art and era. @graceart408 Instagram. RIP Rose and condolences to her family.
