When I bought this pendant at a flea market a few years ago it was attached to a small paper and I could only see the 'Solange' side of it.
I liked it so I brought it home with me.
It was a big surprise when I discovered the nice lady on the back of it.
I love this kind of surprises!
Seems art nouveau-ish to me. Its very small, about 1 cm diameter. It has a mark, but its to small to decipher.
I love the fact it has the name 'Solange' on it...It seems such a typical name from that period.
Newtimes, verry pretty
Thanks Bellin68, Moonstonelover, Agram and vetraio50 for the love and the comment
what a beautiful name and pendant -- wonder what the origin is on the name solange -- i thought it was in one of neil diamonds songs
epson233 I looked it up for you:
It is of French and Latin origin, and the meaning of Solange is "solemn, dignified". A saint's name. A fanciful meaning for the name is "angel of the sun".
Isnt that beautiful?
yes it is and thanks newtimes for the info -- i think it would be a great name if one where having a little girl
